Portal Crane
Portal Crane Parts Ltd. was incorporated in 1987 and is a global supplier for lumber and bulk material handling bridge cranes throughout the world. The services we offer include distribution and installation of replacement parts, inspections, rebuilds and upgrades. We are the official O.E.M for Colby Crane’s and we can also support parts for Kingsway Cranes. From the gantry wheels to the top of the girders, and everything in between, we supply all the parts to keep these cranes in top running condition. Portal Crane Parts has recently expanded to serving large material handling equipment. We certify, inspect and service container cranes, rubber tire gantry cranes, rail mounted gantry cranes, stacker reclaimers and ship loaders. We are experts in crane braking systems such as storm brakes, service brakes and emergency brakes.
We also specialize in the supply of cable, festoon systems and cable reels for various materials handling crane types. With our expertise we are able to find a custom-engineered solution for any problem with large portal cranes. We are able to recommend suitable replacement parts, in place of original parts. Our engineers are often able to provide different options and suggest technical solutions which are superior to replacing the original items. With the combined knowledge of our trained technicians and experienced engineers, Portal Crane has the power to come up with customized solutions for every situation.
Precision Crane
In 1995, Precision Crane was developed, covering all of British Columbia, parts of Alberta and the Western region of the US. We are an authorized distributor for all major crane and hoist manufacturers, allowing us to supply, install and service all types of industrial material handling cranes, hoists, winches and other lifting equipment. Our team of licensed technicians are qualified with over 10,000 hours of experience to perform inspections on cranes and hoists that exceed WorkSafeBC regulations. We offer various services to our customers; including annual preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, installations, commissioning, safety training and upgrades. We provide parts and equipment from a wide variety of manufacturers, enabling us to cater to the needs of all our customers.
BrelX
With a headquarters in Vancouver, Canada, BRELX is a young and dynamic company that challenges existing storm brake designs and concepts. As a division of the Portal Crane Group, it benefits from almost three decades of experience in providing parts and service to the material handling industry. The determination of a strong team of engineers and service professionals, has resulted in cutting edge designs in storm brakes practices. The goals set out by our engineers were ambitious, yet the design solutions were simple. BRELX designs, manufactures and distributes storm braking systems for rail mounted material handling cranes, on shore or inland. Storm brakes are devices which provide braking forces on the crane rails. They prevent a crane from uncontrolled moving along the rails in a case of sudden bursts of wind. They are spring set and hydraulically released, as is the standard in the industry.
