Rail Clamps

Rail Clamps are static Storm Brakes that clamp on both sides of a crane’s rail head, providing friction forces to prevent the crane from moving along the rails during sudden bursts of wind. They are applied upon loss of electrical power and are spring-set, hydraulically or electrically released.

Rail Brakes

Rail Brakes are static or dynamic Storm Brakes that apply on the top of the crane rail head, providing friction forces to prevent the crane from moving during sudden bursts of wind. They are spring-set and hydraulically or electrically released.

Wheel Brakes

Wheel Brake shoes with friction material apply on both of the crane’s idler wheel flanges, providing friction forces and braking capacity. These are primarily parking Storm Brakes but can be used dynamically to stop the crane in emergency situations. They are spring-set and hydraulically or electrically released.

Thruster Service Brakes

Thruster Service Brakes are mainly used on high-speed shafts of drives. They apply on a shaft disc to stop rotational motion. Thruster disc brakes are spring-set and electro-hydraulic thruster released.

Couplings

The purpose of a coupling is to transmit torque from one piece of rotating equipment to another. When supplied with a disc, it serves as a medium on which to apply the Thruster Service Brake.

Thruster Drum Brakes

Thruster Drum Brakes are mainly used on high-speed shafts of drives. They apply on a shaft drum to stop rotational motion. When the electro-hydraulic thruster is de-energized, the brake is activated as the levers apply the brake shoes to the drum.

Hydraulic Caliper Brakes

Caliper Emergency Brakes apply on a disc installed on a low-speed shaft of a drive. They are commonly used as secondary emergency brakes on hoist drives. Caliper disc brakes are disc spring-set and hydraulically released.

Wheel Grippers

Wheel Grippers are ground-mounted, static holding systems designed to grip and hold railway cars during rail car dumping while indexers are repositioning. They are hydraulically set and hydraulically released.

Hydraulic Power Unit

A Hydraulic Power Unit is a self-contained system that provides the flow and pressure required to release Brelx spring or hydraulic set brakes.
